Postdoctoral Position in Learning and Plasticity, University of Virginia

Dr. Brian Wiltgen at the University of Virginia seeks outstanding postdoctoral researchers interested in learning and plasticity.  Applicants should have a background in molecular biology, cell biology and/or electrophysiology.  The research project will examine hippocampus-dependent learning and memory using optogenetic and electrophysiological techniques in mice. 

Applicants should send an e-mail to Dr. Wiltgen that includes a description of their graduate training and research interests, a vita, and the names of three faculty members who can be contacted for letters of recommendation.

New Leadership for MCCS-Asia and MCCS-EuropePosted On 2007-9-7

The MCCS Council appointed the three Officer positions for the leadership of MCCS-Asia: Paul Chapman (from GSK, Singapore)  was appointed  President of MCCS-Asia, Shigeyoshi Itohara (RIKEN, Japan) Treasurer, and Sumantra Chattarji (NCBS, India) Secretary. Dr. Chattarji is also newly appointed to a MCCS Council position created to expand representation from Asia.
Peter Seeburg (Heidelberg) will join Riccardo Brambilla (President) and Isabelle Mansuy (Treasurer) as the new Secretary of MCCS-Europe.
